    Findlay, Ohio founded in 1821 has been the home of the Findlay Fishing Club since 1970 based on records of the clubs existents.  The amazing thing is that it’s still at the same place it started for all these years.  2012 will be it’s 42nd year and we hope it continues to be an outstanding place to relax and fish for many years to come.

     The Findlay Fishing Club, with an 11 acre pond, has always been a nice fishery and over the last 5 years we’ve tried to make it an even better one.  We’ve aggressively stocked a wide variety of fish for the entire family and added structure to promote a better survival rate of fish fry and in turn promote bigger and healthier fish.  Over the last two season we’ve seen marked improvement in the length and girth of all our fish.

       While improving the fishery was our main goal we’ve also tried to improve the property and drive around the pond too.  We’ve regraded sections of the drive, filled in holes and low areas of the drive and walking areas between the drive and the banks.  We’ve sprayed yearly to reduce weed growth and have trimmed brush and branches for better fishing opportunities.  Picnic tables were added in 2011 so the families could lunch and fish and if the kids got tired of fishing they could relax in the shade under the trees.  In 2012 we have an interest in improving the boats we have for our members use and we hope to keep improving so everyone can be proud of the Findlay Fishing Club.
